Royal Guard - 1987 - G.I. Joe

1987 Royal Guard: Cobra-La Team, a G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero action figure.

The Royal Guard stands as one of the most visually striking members of Cobra-La, the mysterious serpent-themed faction introduced in the later G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero line. This 1987 figure embodies the team's distinctive aesthetic with its ornate armor and regal bearing, making it a standout piece for collectors focused on the Cobra-La mythos. The Royal Guard's design reflects the line's evolution toward more elaborate and fantastical characters, departing from the military realism of earlier figures. As a near-mint example, this figure preserves the intricate paint applications and sculpted details that define the character, offering a solid display piece for vintage G.I. Joe enthusiasts despite the missing accessories.
