Released in 1996, Star Trek: First Contact was a critical and commercial success, becoming the highest-grossing Star Trek film at the time. Directed by Jonathan Frakes, who plays Commander William Riker, it introduced the Borg Queen to the screen and follows Captain Picard and the crew of the Enterprise-E as they travel back to humanity’s first contact with the Vulcans.
