Ballet Masquerade Barbie - 2000

Vintage 2000 Ballet Masquerade Barbie by Mattel is an exclusive collector edition doll released in partnership with Avon (#29385). This doll represents “Act 1” of a themed presentation, imagining Barbie as a prima ballerina making a grand entrance on stage.

The original backbox story describes her entering with a grand jeté, her movements mirroring “the grace of a brilliant bird in flight.” Her outfit features a shimmering, silver-brocaded bodice and a multitone pastel tulle skirt trimmed with mint-colored faux feathers.

Accessories include light-blue earrings, pink ballet slippers with satin ribbon ties, a doll stand, and a pink masquerade mask designed to be held up to her face.

Mattel released the collection in three variations for different markets with varying skin and hair colors. This is the blonde version.
