In 1974 Evel Knievel attempted to jump the Snake River Canyon in Idaho. Knievel had the Skycycle X-1 produced for the jump, a rocket-powered cycle powered by a steam engine. Unfortunately for Evel his parachute deployed during take-off and prevented him from getting the lift he needed to jump the canyon.
This 1974 Snake River Canyon ticket has been graded by JSA authentication and received a near-mint grade of 7. According to Heritage Auction, as of 2022, JSA had graded several of these Snake River tickets and only 6 received the highest grade of 7. Rockin Rudy's Attic has 4 Snake River tickets in our collection with 3 receiving a grade of 7. This ticket is one of only 9 highly graded Snake River Canyon Jump tickets ever graded.
The Ticket measures approx. 9 3/4" x 3 1/2" and encapsulation measures approx. 12 1/2" x 5 3/4".
